Burke St. John, Founding Partner
Burke St. John is the Founding Partner of Capitus Associates. With over three decades of experience in the executive search industry, he is focused on providing high touch and extremely dedicated executive search services to select financial services clients.
Prior to forming Capitus Associates, Burke served for over ten years as Vice Chairman and Global Head of the Financial Services and Private Equity Practices at CTPartners. His financial services search engagements have included chief executive, chief operating and other C-suite roles ranging from senior line of business leaders to functional leaders in finance, risk, compliance, and technology & operations. In private equity, his assignments have included investment professionals at all levels and operating executives, as well as C-suite portfolio company work predominantly for financial services portfolio companies.
Burke’s earlier search experience includes 17 years as a Senior Partner with Heidrick & Struggles International, where he served as Head of Global Banking, based in New York. He began his career as a commercial banker with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company after graduating from Harvard College with an AB degree in History.
Burke was cited by Business Week Magazine as one of the world’s top 50 executive search professionals.
